Spate Of Sheds Broken Into In Ruthin

Thursday 25th Apr 2024

Police are urging people to secure their sheds and outbuildings following a spate of burglaries in the Ruthin area.

The warning comes following reports of 13 burglaries of sheds and garages since Thursday 14th March.

Sgt Mike Robinson said: “The majority of the offences are being committed where items such as tools and bicycles have been stolen.”

“We are asking residents to ensure that they property mark items of value; that they store them securely and that outbuildings and sheds are locked and checked regularly.

“We have increased our patrols in the area to reassure the public and ask that anyone with any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem to come forward and assist us.”

Anyone who may have seen someone acting suspiciously or who may have been offered tools and bikes in the area during the past week is asked to call the Police on 101 or use the live webchat https://www.north-wales.police.uk/contact/live-chat-support quoting reference 19100109245.
