Thursday 28th Mar 2024

Police are reiterating their message following further thefts from sheds and vehicles in the Denbigh area

Overnight electrical tools were stolen as more vans were targeted, bringing the total this week to five, and two further shed break-ins were reported in the Parc Alafowlia, Rhodfa Elgwern, Lon Cerys and Y Maes areas of Denbigh.

District Inspector Mike Robinson explained: “Again most of the offences were committed where the cars or outbuildings may have been left insecure.”

He added: “We have increased our patrols in the area to reassure the public and ask that anyone with any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, come forward and assist us.”

“We are asking residents to ensure that they property mark items of value; that they store them securely and that their vehicles and outbuildings are locked and checked regularly.”

Anyone with any information relating to recent thefts is asked to call Denbigh Police Station on 101. or use the live webchat https://www.north-wales.police.uk/contact/live-chat-support  alternatively call Crimestroppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

The Big Easy approach asks people how they make it easy for thieves to do what they do, and therefore to consider some simple steps to make it difficult.
