Friday 19th Apr 2024

Heart Radio presenters Meg and Oli battled it out on the Ninja TAG Active arena at SC2 in Rhyl recently, bringing along teams to see who was the fastest on the giant obstacle course.

Listeners of Heart took part in a week of drive-time competitions to be involved in the challenge and the successful two teams took the Ninja TAG challenge to launch the official partnership between SC2 and Heart North & Mid Wales.

Ninja TAG in Rhyl, located within the SC2 adventure centre in Rhyl, is a cross between Total Wipeout and Ninja Warrior and has over 80 targets across four levels and is the first of its kind in North Wales, with Junior Ninja TAG being the first ever built in the UK.

The two teams took on the giant ball pit, gravity defying Half Pipe, Rope Bridge, Spider Wall and the Giant Jumping Balls, and Oli and his team were crowned the Ninja TAG Active champions in the overall Heart competition with over 4000 points between them.

Bobby Feeley, Lead member for Well-being and Independence at Denbighshire County Council, said: “We’re thrilled to have Heart Mid & North Wales as the Official Media Partner for SC2 and it’s really exciting to have Meg and Oli visit Ninja TAG Active and challenge their teams on the amazing obstacle course. The buzz around Ninja TAG is fantastic and we are proud to be able to bring this one of a kind obstacle course to Rhyl and the North Wales coast.”

A spokesperson for Heart North & Mid Wales, said: “Ninja TAG Active is an exciting new addition to North Wales and has launched at the perfect time! We’re looking forward to a fruitful relationship with SC2, including both the waterpark and Ninja TAG this Summer and it was a privilege for Meg and Oli to celebrate the opening with our listeners in a thrilling Ninja TAG challenge. Heart is all about turning up the feel-good and this special day did just that!”
