North Wales Police Investigating Two Recent Reports Of Indecent Exposure And Assault On Anglesey.

Thursday 28th Mar 2024

We are investigating two recent reports of indecent exposure and assault on Anglesey.

The first incident occurred at around 6.20pm on Wednesday the 6th of November at Menai Bridge Viewpoint on Holyhead Road (A5) between Llanfairpwll and Menai Bridge. The suspect was described by the victim as being a white male, approximately 5ft 8, aged 25-28years old, of medium/heavy build, wearing a dark hooded top with the hood up and grey jogging bottoms. The female victim was out running at the time, and the male exposed himself to her before assaulting her.

The second incident occurred at around 6pm on Tuesday the 12th of November near Huws Grey Builders Merchant on Lon Groes, Gaerwen Industrial estate. The victim described the offender as being a white male fairly short in height, bald head or balding aged in his early to mid 30s of stocky build wearing a red hoody and tracksuit bottoms. The offender is believed to have been exposing himself before assaulting the victim as she walked passed him. The offender walked off in the direction of Holyhead Road (A5).

Anglesey District Inspector Llinos Davies who is leading the investigations said:

“ I would like to reassure the public that incidents of this nature are rare on the island, however we are treating both as being connected and will be increasing patrols in the area. I would advise any females out running or walking in the evenings to be vigilant and consider their personal safety by taking well-lit, busier traffic routes and going in groups.  Also consider carrying a torch and wearing high visibility clothing.

“I urge anyone who was in the area at the time of the incidents to cast their minds back and come forward if they saw a male matching the description, or have any information of relevance to the investigation. We also ask that any motorists with Dash Cam driving through the areas at the time review their footage to see if the offender has been captured.

“I would strongly encourage anyone who believes they have been a victim of such a crime to make contact with police. Should anyone experience this type of behaviour or witness this type of incident in future please contact us.”
