Leisure And Marketing Teams Up For Regional Tourism Awards

Denbighshire Leisure is up for three honours at the prestigious Go North Wales Tourism awards being held in Venue Cymru tonight (Thursday).

SC2, the waterpark and visitor attraction in Rhyl has been shortlisted in the Go Attraction of the Year Award and are up against Zip World, Llechwedd /Slate Mountain and Greenwood Family Park.

SC2 opened its doors to the public in April this year with its thrilling Splash Park and ‘First in North Wales’ Ninja TAG Active arena. Since it launched hundreds of thousands of people have stepped through their doors to splash into the waterpark and climb into the Ninja TAG challenges.

SC2 is also up for the Go Marketing honour, competing against the likes of Welsh Mountain Zoo, Aber Falls Distillery and Zip World.

Rhyl Air Show is shortlisted in the Go Magnificent Crowd Puller award and is up against Venue Cymru (World Snooker), Llangollen Eisteddfod and Focus.

The Go North Wales Tourism Awards, now in their fourth year, recognise excellence in the region’s hospitality and tourism sectors and showcase and celebrate the achievements, hard work and dedication of those working in the industry,
