Operation To Tackle Vehicle Crime In Prestatyn

Wednesday 24th Apr 2024

Police are asking the public to be vigilant following a spate of vehicle related crimes in the Prestatyn area.

Since the start of 2020 there has been an increase in the number of thefts from and damage to vehicles across Prestatyn.

Denbighshire and Abergele Coastal Sgt Kevin Smith said: “We want to thank members of the public and residents who have assisted the policing team with reports of a suspicious male trying car door handles in the early hours.”

“A dedicated policing operation is being run to target those responsible and we ask for the public’s help in identifying any potential suspects.”

“We are urging owners to ensure their vehicles and homes are locked and secure and that any valuable items are removed from vehicles to reduce the temptation for thieves.”
