County Highway Works Due To Get Underway

Denbighshire County Council is informing motorists of several highway works taking place over the coming weeks.

Urgent carriageway resurfacing work is due to begin on Nant Hall Road in Prestatyn on Tuesday, May 19th  for five days. The work will extend from Mostyn Avenue to Gronant Road.   A road closure with a signed diversion route will be in force for the duration of the works.

Essential carriageway maintenance works are planned on the A525 and A547, with the work including grass cutting and sweeping.   The following sections of road will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians between 7pm and 6am  each night. Diversion routes will be signed accordingly.

  • A525 Talardy roundabout to Morfa  Lodge roundabout-  1st & 2nd June.
  • A525 Rhuddlan Bypass -  3rd  June
  • A547 Abergele Road between Morfa  Lodge roundabout and Borth roundabout 9th June
  • A547 Abergele Road between Borth  Roundabout and the County Boundary with Conwy county - 10th      June

The weed spraying of all roads and footways throughout the county within all urban areas will begin in June and take approximately 4 to 6 weeks to complete.

Work to cut grass verges on A and B roads across the county will take place from June 1 for a period of between four and six weeks.

The contractors engaged on these works will be following national guidelines and practising social distancing measures.
