Armed officers were deployed to an address in Holyhead during the evening of Sunday 24th May.
Officers investigating a serious allegation attended at an address and a male suspect was detained.
Chief Inspector Jon Bowcott said: “I understand that the deployment of armed officers can both create interest and cause concern. I would like to reassure the residents of Holyhead that there is no ongoing risk to the public. A male was detained at an address in Holyhead without incident. It would be inappropriate to make any further comment at any time as investigations are ongoing.”
