Conwy Marks 25 Years Delivering Essential Services

Thursday 28th Mar 2024

This month marks 25 years since Conwy County Borough Council came into existence as part of local government reorganisation in Wales.

Cllr Abdul Khan, Chairman of Conwy County Borough Council, said: “Looking back on a quarter of a century of providing public services there have been many successes and challenges, none more challenging than this last twelve months.

“Throughout it all there have been a dedicated team of people delivering essential services to those who need them.

“I’d like to pay tribute to the wide variety of staff who live across all these communities and who provide so many different services for the county’s residents.

“And of course, the councillors elected to represent our communities, and all our partners and community groups who work so hard to make Conwy county borough a great place to live, work and visit.”
