National Safeguarding Week 15-19 November

Wednesday 24th Apr 2024

15-19 November is National Safeguarding Week, with organisations across Wales working to raise the profile of this important national issue.

Conwy County Borough Council is supporting the event and is spreading the word amongst staff and councillors across all services to make sure everyone is aware of the signs of a safeguarding issue, their duty to report concerns, and how to report a concern.

Councillor Cheryl Carlisle, Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Safeguarding said, “Safeguarding is central and pivotal to everyone's work here in Conwy County Borough Council all through the year and we work closely with partner agencies every day. It’s important to know we are all committed to keeping children, young people and vulnerable adults safe. We all have a duty to listen to the voices of the vulnerable, and act on what we hear. Safeguarding is everyone's business"
