Serious Collision, Griffiths Crossing, Caernarfon: Appeal

A motorcyclist was left with serious injuries following a road traffic collision on a roundabout near Caernarfon yesterday afternoon (Sunday, May 12th).

Shortly after 4pm police received a report via the Ambulance Service of a four-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle, blue Renault Megane, an Isuzu D-max 4x4, and a white Ford Focus on the Griffiths Crossing roundabout onto the Felinheli bypass.

The female motorcyclist was airlifted to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor but she has since been transferred to hospital in Stoke.

PC Daniel Edwards of the Roads Policing Unit said: “The motorcyclist has sustained serious injuries, and as a result she has been transferred to hospital in Stoke.

“We are appealing for witnesses to the collision, and are particularly keen on speaking to anybody who may have been travelling in or around the vicinity and who may have dash cam footage to contact us.”

The road re-opened shortly after 6pm.
