Flooding In Denbighshire – Update At 12.30pm.

Crews from Denbighshire County Council are busy dealing with a significant number of calls from the public, reporting flooding in parts of the county.

Y Pandy, Dyserth is closed.
Ffordd Maes Llan, Llanrhydd closed.

Problems with surface water reported on Lower Denbigh Road, St Asaph. Problems also reported in the Llanarmon yn Ial area.

Problems with surface water in particular are being reported county-wide, with a number of roads affected:
Cwm Road, Dyserth – at its junction with the A5151 has been closed.
Problems around the A547 at Meliden and Prestatyn; Llanrhydd Street area of Ruthin and Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd.
Issues reported earlier: 
The majority of the problems seem to be in the north of the county, with areas around Dyserth affected in particular. 
The A5151 between Dyserth and Rhuddlan has a lot of standing water.
Westbourne Avenue, Rhyl is closed due to flooding and sandbags have been issued to properties there. Our teams are down at the scene. There are no reports of water entering properties. 
Loggerheads Country Park is closed due to flooding, with water levels still rising. 
Last night: There were problems with surface water on the A539 at Llangollen. Teams from the Council attended and the flood water was cleared.
The rain is expected to ease this afternoon, but more rain is expected overnight and crews from the Council will be on stand-by throughout the night. Residents are advised to continue to monitor weather forecasts and social media for any updates
