Residents Urged To Monitor Weather Conditions

Friday 19th Apr 2024

Denbighshire County Council is continuing to monitor the weather situation after flooding was experienced across the county during the day on Wednesday.

Surface road flooding had been reported in a number of communities after the heavy rains.  As a result, some roads were closed during the day.

Teams of staff have responded to numerous requests for assistance, closing roads, providing sandbags where necessary and installing warning signs.

Although the rain eased during Wednesday afternoon, further heavy rainfall is now forecast overnight and into Thursday morning.  The Council will continue to monitor the condition of the county’s roads, as well as water levels across the county and teams of staff are on stand-by to be called if necessary.

Residents are urged to follow weather forecasts online, radio, television and social media and to follow any safety advice given.

Updates from the Council can be found on this site,  and on social media Facebook: www.facebook.com/denbighshirecountycouncil or Twitter: www.twitter.com/denbighshirecc

Latest information about roads can also be accessed through traffic reports.
