Lane Closure As Minor Work Takes Place At Queen's Buildings

A lane closure will be in place as part of works on the Queen’s Buildings in Rhyl.

There will be a lane closure on Queen Street from Monday, July 8 to Friday, July 12, which will include the suspension of on street parking, while the pavement along the front of the buildings on West Parade will be closed during the same period.

Hoardings will also be placed at sections of the site as work is carried out.

Minor work will be carried out on the site including a safety inspection of the roof areas.

Denbighshire County Council is working with private sector development partners to consider how to transform the site into a vibrant mix of retail, food and beverage, contemporary market, office and residential space while improving accessibility from the waterfront and promenade into the town centre.

Plans could also include an open courtyard and public space in the £30million-plus development, which includes the former Savoy Hotel and Queen’s Market buildings.
