Work Starts At Penmaen Road Site

Contractors have moved on site to start preparing land at Penmaen Road in Conwy for the construction of new commercial units.
Jennings Building & Civil Engineering Ltd have been appointed to construct this much needed business space.
The infrastructure work across the whole site and building four initial units is expected to take around 32 weeks. Site preparation and earthwork will take place before Christmas, with the major construction phase taking place in the new year, and work completed by late summer 2020.
Cllr Goronwy Edwards, Cabinet Member for Economic Development, Conwy County Borough Council, said: “Penmaen Road is within an identified employment growth area - there’s significant demand in the energy and environment, food, construction and creative sectors in the area, so we’ll be focusing on these uses, and looking to complement the businesses based at the neighbouring Parc Caer Seion site.”
The project is funded through the European Regional Development Fund and Conwy County Borough Council.
