Police are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at the Best-One Shop and Post Office on St Margaret’s Drive in Rhyl.

The robbery happened at around 10.25am today, Wednesday 13th November, when a man wearing dark clothing, entered the store and threatened the staff with a weapon before making off on foot with a quantity of cash, in the direction of St Margaret’s Drive.

Officers are appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity of the store and saw a man acting suspiciously at the time, or who may have been driving past the location with a dashcam on board to contact police.

Detective Inspector Elfyn Hughes said: “Those in the shop have been left shocked by the incident but thankfully no-one was injured. Our enquiries are ongoing and we are keen to hear from anyone who believes they have any information which may be relevant to the investigation.”
