During this pandemic, it’s essential that you keep yourself safe from domestic abuse. We want to make sure that you are aware that domestic abuse has many factors that go beyond a physical attack.
Does your partner withhold your money?
Do they make you wear certain clothes or not allow you to have social media?
Do they sometimes humiliate you or make you feel like you are worthless?
These behaviours can be contributed to those of coercive control and you do not need to tolerate it. We have specialist Domestic Abuse Officers who work with domestic abuse agencies who can help to free you from such abuse and we would encourage those who feel that they are being subjected to coercive control, to make contact with 101 to seek advice, 999 in an emergency or any of the below numbers:
Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme (also known as Clare’s Law)
If you’re becoming suspicious of your partners behaviour, they are becoming more oppressive, controlling or even violent, we can help you by looking into their offending history and provide you with this information under the Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme (DVDS) also known as Clare’s Law. If you are concerned about someone else, you can request a disclosure on their behalf and in confidence.

This app is disguised so the perpetrator can’t see what it is and opens as a weather app, It is switched to the main app by pressing and holding the screen for a few seconds.
