Serious Injury Collision In Dolwyddelan

A man has sustained serious, life threatening injuries following a road traffic collision in Dolwyddelan yesterday afternoon (Sunday, 12th January).
Shortly before 2pm North Wales Police received a report of a one vehicle collision on the A470 Roman Bridge involving a white Ford Fiesta.
The emergency services attended and the male driver, aged in his 70’s, was airlifted by the Air Ambulance to hospital in Stoke with serious injuries.
PC Mark Walker of the Roads Policing Unit said: “We are appealing to anybody who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.
“We are also keen on speaking to anybody who may have seen the Fiesta being driven just prior to the collision, or to anybody who may have been travelling along the A470 around the time of the incident and who may have dash cam footage.”
The investigation is underway and anybody who can assist is asked to contact officers at the Roads Policing Unit on 101 quoting reference number Y005277.
